Sorry for the lack of blogs. We're having a few computer problems and are waiting for the parts to come in. So when Dad gets the chance he'll do a few blogs at work since Mum is asking him nicely.

Did you all see Melvin on Jay Leno the other night? Simba and Harold were so excited to see their friend on the tv!

Fight Club

For the pass two days Simba and Harold have been play fighting. We're keeping a close eye on them to make sure it doesn't turn violent. And Simba crawled into bed with us last night in her usual spot!

Harold wakes up with us then eats then gets really hyper then goes for a nap. This goes on all day and we love it. He's starting to play with Simba, he seems to think her tale is a toy. He loves to run after her and jump on her and basically annoy her to no end. Simba doesn't love this but she isn't hissing either. She isn't playing back but she will swat Harold when she has had enough.



We're a bit worried because she is being anti-social with us. She doesn't come and lay with us on the couch anymore and she isn't sleeping with us at night either. The only time she comes near either of us is in the morning when she's waiting for her soft food. Only then will she come us to us and brush agaisnt our legs and purr and meow. We don't know how to make her more like her old self.

Presenting Harold

Harold looks like an alien after his bath.

Simba had a nice day alone while Harold and I went to the V-E-T. It went well. They confirmed that Harold was a boy. They took his temperature and he wasn't too happy after that. After his first shots the girls came to see him. They said he looked great. When we took the metro everyone was checking him out and it made him real shy.


He hated the bus but didn't seem to mind the metro.

We're back!

Mum's back from Quebec City. And she had quite the surprise waiting for her back home. Our little 7 week old kitten is a boy not a girl! How the V-E-T thought otherwise... I'm not sure. So now we're re thinking the name all over again. Simba no longer hisses at him... but she isn't head over heels about him either. It's getting better though.

This week the kitten is going to his first V-E-T appointment. He will be getting his first sets of vaccinations. The Animal Health Clinic is also doing it for free since I adopted him from them.

Some gifts from mum..

We are still alive and well... Mum is on vacation and Dad is watching us and he doesn't get this "cat blog" thing... so we'll be back in a few days with lots of updates!

I know it's only the second day but things are not getting better. Simba is just a bundle of nerves. As soon as the kitten comes near her she gets really tense and then hisses until the kitten goes away. Simba is being really anti social and not eating a lot even when I give her soft food.

Comments: A favorite of Simba's though she prefers the kind with chunks. The kitten really liked it but it takes her a while to eat it all. The back says a kitten will need 2 1/2 packages per sitting and three times a day. She can barely eat one pouch in a sitting... I'll be keeping an eye on this.


Simba refused to take part on this weeks review. She is still mad that I brought the kitten into her "castle".

Here comes trouble...

So we decided since Nacho was leaving that we would get a little friend for Simba. She is a little six week old tabby kitten that we got from vet. It's not going quite as planned. Simba doesn't seem to impressed and when the kitten tries to play with her she just hisses... something Simba only ever did when Nacho was being a bully.

Does anyone have any tips to make them like each other? Or is this something that just takes time?

Today is a very sad day.

We knew this day would come... Nacho's mummy (my aunt) is coming back from vacation tomorrow and Nacho will go back with her. Nacho and Simba used to live together up until this past spring... until Simba wanted to move in with me. I don't know how they'll take the separation.

They came today! Little Unicorn the Narwhal Cat Toy and Little Orange Dreamsicle Cat Toy from our favorite new shop Mouchois. Simba and Nacho love them. Simba discovered another new toy today... my hair.
